U.S. Forest Service, Arcadia, CA

When the U.S. Forest Service set out to build a new regional headquarters building, they realized the potential of streamlining their training program by creating new technologically advanced spaces within the new facility.  To help support this vision, AMT Systems evaluated their needs, offered suggestions on how to make the space more effective and ultimately designed AV systems for two rooms that would allow the Forest Service to accomplish their goals.  The end result is a new flagship facility that has become the key training facility for the region and is the model for other training facilities around the country.

The Conference Room is outfitted with a variety of source inputs, HD video projection and network connectivity, all managed by a password protected touch screen control system programmed for simple system operation.

The large Training Center is outfitted with dual HD projection, a full contingency of wireless microphones, integrated presentation podium and distributed sound.  This system is also managed by a password protected touch screen for simple user operation.

After the systems were installed and facility opened for normal operation, it quickly gained the reputation of being a state-of-the-art training facility and is now booked months in advance by both U.S. Forest Service as well as other local emergency services agencies for training classes and meetings.  Furthermore, due to the combination of available space, integrated AV systems and proximity to the highly fire-prone Angeles National Forest, the Training Center has been identified as the Incident Command Center for fire events in the region.
